Our beautiful Reformer Pilates Studio has 14 Peak Pilates Reformer Beds. We also have jump boards, weights, rings, balls and various other equipment available to make your classes varied and challenging.
If you are new to Reformer Pilates, arrive early so that your instructor can demonstrate the moving parts of the Reformer Bed and explain how to change the springs. The springs create more or less resistance for each type of exericise.
Our classes at Crunch are suitable for all fitness levels. Different levels of intensity will be offered for each exercise … so listen to your body and work as hard as you need to get the results your desire.
Reformer Components
Reformer Pilates is performed using a bed-like frame, with a ‘carriage’ that rolls back and forth on wheels using springs to generate resistance, You push and pull using your body weight and strength. Reformer Pilates is generally more intense and more dynamic than mat based Pilates. It is designed to increase flexibility, muscular strength and muscular endurance with an improved mind-body connection. Visually, you will see stronger and leaner muscles with improved posture. With the focus on core stability and total body strength, Reformer Pilates will help to facilitate muscle activation and development to support proper spinal alignment.
For your safety, Grip Socks MUST be worn in a Reformer class. Bring your own or purchase at reception.

Annette
I am passionate about all aspects of health and wellbeing. Over the past 15 years, my journey has been working towards being a holistic trainer through education, dedication and desire. The avenues of wellness that I incorporate into my programs include achieving not only physical fitness but a combination of mindset coaching and mindfulness.
I have always been inspired by the human form and movement. Exercise not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood! Exercise is something you get to do, rather than something you have to do. It’s important to enjoy your workouts.
I love how Pilates uses dynamic, functional and mobility movement patterns that incorporate the whole body to make you feel stronger, improve posture, greater flexibility and is complementary to all lifestyles. My classes are fun, challenging and will leave you feeling great!
Steph
I have been working in the health and fitness Industry for over 25 years navigating my way through various roles from gym reception, sales, PR and Management.
I’ve always had a passion for body mechanics and overall wellbeing. 19 years ago, I became an accredited STOTT PILATES Instructor. I was constantly in pursuit for a deeper understanding to expand my knowledge and skill set to achieve better results from training programs for myself and clients.
After working closely in conjunction with physiotherapists and health care professionals I found Pilates to be a much more effective form of exercise which catered to all ages and fitness levels. By incorporating a combination of strengthening and stretching techniques which helps the body develop stronger leaner muscles, increasing body awareness and improve overall body movement.
I enjoy creating fun, yet challenging workouts guiding clients with care and attention to achieve their personal fitness goals. I am very much looking forward to working with the members & team at Crunch Female Fitness.
Rachel
Hey, I’m Rach!
My journey in health and fitness began in childhood and continued through my teenage years as a semi-professional netball player.
I qualified as an Exercise Sports Scientist 23 years ago and have since added qualifications in Naturopathy, Life Coaching, Herbal Medicine and Nutrition. I am currently completing a Master’s Degree in Counselling.
I teach Reformer Pilates at Crunch on Monday & Thursday mornings, supported by my Mat & Reformer Pilates qualifications. My approach to health is holistic and I love teaching both foundational techniques and fitness through Reformer Pilates.
After 20 years in the corporate world, I left to pursue my purpose. My favorite thing about Crunch is meeting so many incredible women and helping each one discover their potential – both mentally & physically.
Tayla
I am 26 years old and I have recently completed studying a Masters of High Performance Sport and a Diploma of Nutrition. I now work full-time within the AFL industry and part-time at Crunch Female Fitness.
I gained my Pilates certification from Barre Body and have recently been teaching in a studio that specialises in injury and rehab with a team of physios. I completed my undergrad degree with a Bachelors of Health Science majoring in Human Structure and Function, so I am very passionate about human movement, fitness and recovery.
I am very keen to meet some reformer lovers at Crunch and hopefully convert some of you that are new to reformer!
